Indie Wrestler Apologizes For Past Use Of The N-Word
America is in the midst of an uncertain time as many cry for change. This period of deep thought and introspection caused one indie wrestler to address some skeletons in his closet.
Brett Ison, an indie wrestler out Hazard, Kentucky came forward on his own to address tweets he made a decade ago. He apologized for the tweets and his use of the N-Word. He used this word “with the a,” but still publicly apologized while not making any excuses for what he said.
I has been brought to my attention that an old Twitter account of mine from 2010 or so I made multiple tweets with the use of the N word with the a. I have spoken to several of my close friends some of which are people of color along with my wife about the matter and apologized to them personally and I am now publicly saying as seriously and sincerely sorry I made that mistake.
I am not making any excuses for what I tweeted in the past.
I needed known and accounted for
This is the kind of change that is needed. We can only hope that Ison’s apology will encourage others to see this as an example and take it upon themselves to have accountability.
