Publish date: 2024-06-25

Sean O’Haire, a former member of the WWE and WCW, was found dead in his Southern Carolina home yesterday.

He was 43 years old.

According to the coroner in Spartanburg, the cause of death is unknown at the moment, but no foul play is suspected.

(UPDATE: According to local cops, O’Haire was found in his bedroom, with a red rope tied around his neck, connected to the bedpost. He’s believed to have killed himself.)

Authorities are awaiting toxicology reports that will hopefully shed light on what happened to the former grappler, whose real name was Sean Haire.

O’Haire made his debut with the WCW in 2000 and (along with Chuck Palumbo) held the WCW tag team championship belt when the organization eventually folded.

He then moved on to the WWE and departed that organization in 2004.

O’Haire later transitioned into kickboxing and MMA before becoming a hair stylist. We send our condolences to his family members and friends.
